American Roulette is a riveting, ripped-from-the-headlines creation by ten collaborators motivated by their concern for gun violence in America. The authors each wrote stories detailing the lives of fictional victims, bringing their humanity into focus. I was captivated by the characters and their circumstances until the last sobering page. A must read for all.

Hopefully there will be many more Sky adventures! Super Souls on a Sunday is a great children's book helping kids to find ways of coping with growing up. I'm no child, but still growing up, so it was very inspirational to me too. Kudos to Jan Cuva-Primmer, who obviously has great experience and insight into the problems kids face in childhood and uses it in an affective, and creative way to speak to children.

Super Souls on a Sunday is a thoughtful, compassionate book about caring for others, understanding emotions, and dealing with sad feelings but told to us through the voice of Sky, a “Super Soul” in training. Sky’s adventures, as she learns about her role, weave a fanciful tale that takes her to Earth to meet her first challenge, young Ashley. This is a must-read for parents or elementary school teachers to promote social skills introduce the topic of bullying.
